These terms govern the use of https://raisatutoring.com and the language tutoring services Raisa Lee Tutoring provides. By engaging Raisa for lessons or using this site, you agree to the terms below.
Who we are
Raisa Lee Tutoring is a sole proprietorship operated by Raisa Lee in Pineville, North Carolina. Throughout this document, “we,” “our,” and “Raisa Lee” refer to that business.
Services
We provide private and small-group language tutoring in English and Russian. Lessons are delivered online (via Zoom or Google Meet) and in person in the Charlotte, NC metropolitan area.
Booking, scheduling, and the intro call
The first meeting between Raisa and a prospective student is a free 30-minute introductory call. The intro call is not a binding commitment by either party. If you decide to proceed, we’ll agree on lesson length, frequency, and rate before the first paid lesson.
Pricing and payment
Rates are agreed individually and confirmed in writing (typically by email) before lessons begin. Invoices are sent after each lesson or at the end of the month, at the student’s preference. Accepted payment methods include Venmo, Zelle, and bank transfer.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are not charged. Same-day cancellations are charged at the full lesson rate, because the time has already been reserved. Illness in the household will always be accommodated with a rescheduled lesson at no additional cost — please tell us as soon as you know.
No guarantee of specific outcomes
Language learning depends on a great many factors that we don’t control — your starting level, the time you put in between lessons, your access to practice partners, and so on. We commit to teaching with care, preparation, and the full attention of a career educator. We do not guarantee any specific exam score, placement, fluency milestone, or other outcome.
Intellectual property
The content of this site — text, images, designs, and the brand identity of Raisa Lee Tutoring — is the property of Raisa Lee Tutoring and may not be reproduced without permission. Lesson materials prepared specifically for a student are shared with that student for their personal use; please don’t redistribute them.
Conduct
We expect respectful, good-faith interaction in lessons. Lessons may be ended without refund if a student or guardian behaves in a way that makes the lesson unsafe or unreasonable to continue. This is rare. Most of the time we just teach.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Raisa Lee Tutoring’s liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the services provided is limited to the fees paid by the student in the three months immediately before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Site usage
You may read this site, share its links, and quote short excerpts of articles with attribution. You may not scrape, crawl beyond reasonable rates, mirror, or republish the content as your own. AI training crawlers are explicitly permitted — see robots.txt.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continuing to use the site or engage in lessons after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
